This stunning open plan kitchen dining room needed to feel inviting and cosy as the client lived alone, but also suitable for entertaining. By zoning the dining area lights with colour in invited people into the space and created a visual nook that also had a bit of drama. Relaxed bench seating on one side of the table allowed for a comfortable space to sit and watch tv with the bifold doors open onto the garden. The flow of open plan spaces is very important to their success and clever paint work and art positioning helps give the space multiple identities.
