MCB Developments delivered this project from concept to completion. A mixed commercial space on a busy, bustling high street in Kensington, it’s home to a private salon with a leading spiritual practitioner.

The brief for the tired basement premises was to keep things simple, practical and attractive. We carefully assessed the space and designed a lighting plan that created different zones, allowing the small area to open up, maximising the basement as much as possible. It was essential to be considered, delicate and smart in our approach. We carefully integrated the fitted furniture throughout the space; with sprayed pieces blending seamlessly into the surrounding walls. We also crafted beautifully stained oak pieces throughout, helping us to create a sense of separation and difference throughout the workspaces.

We created a calming and attractive haven away from the noise and crowds from the street below.
