One day garage flooring specialists Resin Flooring North East have installed a seamless fast cure acrylic resin MMA flake system within a garage at a residential property in Lands Lane, Knaresborough North Yorkshire.
The concrete substrate was prepared by dust free diamond grinding to remove a defective paint coat and to provide a key for the new resin floor. Cracks in the substrate were cut out using dust free diamond tooling. The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then vacuumed to remove all traces of dust and debris.
The carefully prepared concrete substrate was then primed with MMA primer and left to cure. The cracks were then filled with a MMA mortar. Once the primer was cured a 4mm MMA flowable floor screed was installed by trowel which was fully blinded with 1mm - 3mm PVA flakes in the colour Glacier Peak.
Once the MMA floor screed was fully cured the new floor surface was swept and vacuumed to remove all the excess PVA flakes. Two coats of MMA clearcoat were then applied to the new floor surface to complete the operation.
The works were completed over an 8 hour period and the new garage floor was ready to use two hours after the installation was completed.
