A London-based client and designer employed Artisans of Devizes to participate in the transformation of what was historically a barn. We installed a wide range of limestone and marble stone works that respect the traditions of the building while allowing it to flourish as a modern living space, including:

- a precisely cut internal circle in stone for the wine cellar
- honed skirting detailed with shadowed grooves
- bespoke stone shower base with linear slot wastes, bespoke milled grooves on the draining area and matching etched lines to the showering area
- free-standing basin tops
- French-style, weathered marble trough for the basin in the master bathroom basin - mounted on sculptured supports
- bespoke wall-cladding and lining of niches
- limestone cobbles, laid to a central gully

We also recommended Roche Marron flooring – a classic limestone, which, with a weathered finish is a match for antique flagstones. This effect was enhanced by laying the stone in random length courses in the hallways, while a more regular 60 x 60 format for the kitchen and pantry complemented the bespoke equipment and fittings.
