St John's Wood
This contemporary L-shaped garden was created by knocking down a wall that previously separated 2 distinct areas. Sawn limestone paving and limestone chippings were used in both areas to unify the design. Large topiary 'pillows' flank the entrance to the main garden from the kitchen patio, and directly opposite stands a beautiful multi-stemmed crabapple underplanted with Hakonechloa grass, creating a strong focal point. 2 separate sitting areas enable the client to enjoy different views of the garden and make the most of the sun. A predominantly white, green and purple planting palette was used to create a calm and relaxing space.
