Staircases are naturally the most dramatic part of most homes - the vertical transition from one floor to another can provide a view of the spaces below and above from a new perspective. This design accentuates the vertical journey with a series of repeated lines. The ground floor stair is light and open, allowing views through the goings. The first floor stair has a heavier, more monolithic feel, with solid steps and a cement finish. The floor to ceiling timber spindles lighten the staircase and provide a material contrast, whilst relating back to the ground floor vertical lines.
