A small suburban garden for a professional couple with an interest in gardening and sculpture.

The garden suffered from heavy clay soil that was very poorly drained preventing access during winter.

The solution was to create a generous western red cedar boardwalk which allowed a variety of sitting locations and raised beds which assist with drainage and allow a wide range of plants to be grown. The garden was planted with a mix of shrubs, perennials and grasses to give all year round colour and to complement the existing hedge. Space was also included for vegetables and fruit.
