The owners of this kitchen wanted to combine their original cream suite from Stoneham Kitchen's Scotney collection and extend it to a larger area. The retailer David Haugh created a new contemporary design incorporating and revamping the original furniture to achieve a seamless elegant neutral look.

The doors on the original units were re-primed with soft close hinges and painted in Farrow and Ball's Dove Tale grey to match the new units with white quartz surface worktops.

The central island with its solid walnut top and quadrant pillars beneath, acts as a place for entertaining, food preparation and dining, perfectly situated in front of the Smeg cooker and embellished with two cream bar stools.

Other contemporary elements of the kitchen include a Smeg fridge freezer, Caple wine coolers, Westin extractor fan and Sensio lighting, which illuminates the tall, wall, glazed and under wall units, as well as niches in the chimney breast detail above the cooker.
