Wetroom City Centre, Glasgow
MAKE A STATEMENT.....USE THE WALL
This is a recent en-suite wetroom completed in the beautiful Clairmont Terrace in Glasgow's west end. Our client had a hidden leak, that was ongoing for some time. This resulted in a total strip out, back to the bare walls and concrete floor. We suggested a few ideas to increase functionality and keeping a sharp, fresh look.
The original design had all White tiles, but a feature wall just looks amazing, don't you think? We created a wet deck shower area with a fast flow gully. The entire floor area is heated with undertile heating, controlled from wall stat programmer or smartphone from anywhere. the shower is a flush mounted 2 way diverter, allowing overhead showering, or just a regular head from the wall rail.
There is so much planning in Bathrooms, even more when wetrooms are involved. If you are thinking of having a bathroom or wetroom installed, here are some helpful tips:
Make sure you use a reputable company
Make sure they have enough insurance cover to work in your property
Ask for references from existing customers, even ask to come and view.
Make sure its the correct material for the job....you CAN'T use cheap tile adhesive & grout for underfloor heating!
Make sure the tradesmen are qualified and not BOOM TOWN RATS cashing in.
All to often, we speak to people who have had work done, and are left bitterly disappointed. This can range from shoddy workmanship to being left out of pocket. The unfortunate thing about this, is your hard earned cash for that new dream investment is GONE!
