Water Features
This is in Los Angeles.
I like the little groundcover plants.
I love this. You often see those black river rocks, and I like them, but it's nice to see a blonde version.
So while you're sitting here, you're hearing the fountain.
This is the house it's with. Lovely porch.
Very pretty.
I assume that the red grass is Japanese blood grass.
"Marin Water Feature. This water feature was surgically added to an existing slate patio. The raised basin is of hand mixed colored concrete poured in layers and set with stainless steel spouts. The lower basins are crossed by concrete pads and the water spills between them. Lush grasses and plantings soften and envelop the space." The purple flowers are labeled "water iris."
Notice the squirrel enjoying a drink of water.
I really like this. One of the best water features I've seen.
Ah, I see. By "water iris," they apparently mean Louisiana irises.
Such luxury. Imagine how those grasses move in the breeze, and picture the color flash of the fish through the water, and the sound of the waterfalls.
I like that it looks like a well.
"MNLA award winning landscaping with water falls, small pond, Fondulac wall stone, cedar decking, closer risers, clay brick pave patio. The landscape plantings included a weeping ornamental evergreen and steppable grond covers. The project was installed in Edina, MN."
"View from upper clay paver patio of garage for boat storage. Landscaping we used shrub roses.and weeping spruce. Lower garden areas had stone edging and Fondulac walls."
Same landscape designer, different yard. I love the dark green table and chairs. "Installed a Lion head fountain on a garage wall with a small brick pond. A brick paver court yard created an outdoor room and small sitting area. The front foundation plantings included perennials, ornmental trees, and annuals in containers.. The project was instlled in Edina, MN.
This is beautiful. I love the contrast of solid rock with moving water, velvet lawn with fluffy Stipa grass. And notice the darling little plants tucked in here and there, including the ones blooming at left.
