Bernard 100. Indeed. I'm not tall and never found clambering over a bathtub to take a shower was easy, and getting out again was harder still. When I was pregnant the gymnastics involved were hazardous, and then being pregnant and having to lift a toddler in and out of the tub did my back in. Fast-forward 25 years and a hip replacement made such antics impossible. So we are an all-shower household. Wall-hung furnishings seem to be more common here in France than in the UK.

This is a tiny ensuite shower room with a window in the ceiling only. It originally had wall-to-wall beige tiles & boxy built-in sanitary ware, all giving it a dated and dull look. Our client was advantageous enough to go for something bold and classy. We used a dark leafy wallpaper on all the walls outside of the shower cubical with a glass splashback behind the basin. The shower was tiled with metro tiles, used in the classical format to give the area extra width. The overall look is exciting and surprisingly spacious!
