In order to add space to the existing galley kitchen, the laundry area was fitted with a microwave, sink and pantry. The choice of stainless steel countertop material gives a clean and easy surface for folding clothes while the laundry sink can double as a prep sink (with disposal) or be filled with ice for chilled beverage service connecting to the backyard patio.
