Cre8tive Rooms LtdWe were tasked with converting a formal lounge in St Georges Hill, Weybridge into a state-of-the-art eight-seat home cinema. The design incorporated a false wall to house left and right channel Artcoustic Loudspeakers and two central subwoofers. Rear staging was also built to accommodate four electrically reclining CineItalia authentic cinema seats. We installed and programmed automatic Q-Motion black-out blinds to lower when the system is in use, blocking any external light from entering the room. We opted for a Screen Innovations Slate ALR screen paired with a Sony Laser Projector to deliver crystal clear 4K picture. This amazing screen features unrivalled ambient light rejecting qualities allowing it to be watched unaffected even in direct sunlight.
SGDI - Sarah Gallop Design Inc.The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow.
Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The chosen colours tie the kitchen to the rest of the home (creating unity as combination, colours and materials, is repeated throughout).

CEDIAThis CEDIA award-winning entry (Best Home Cinema Level I) was described by CEDIA’s judges as “an incredible installation for the price.”
The project began as a media room with a large TV, but after several meetings, the integrator convinced the client that a dedicated cinema would better satisfy their needs. Once the team at The Digital Picture showed the client the benefits of a dedicated cinema with a 16:9 screen and a 4K projector, the deal was closed.
The consultation process was critical in this instance: an original budget of $20,000 AUD soon doubled as the client became more and more educated regarding immersive audio and other equipment. Acoustic treatments were key to the room’s success, as was power management. The client is away on business for extended periods, and the room’s “isolation mode” will prolong the life of the equipment.
Working with other contractors on the job site of this retrofit was also helpful for the integration team. For example, instead of reworking the room’s HVAC system entirely, the integrators worked with the heating and cooling contractor to use sound-absorbing ductwork and add length and bends to reduce noise. Creative thinking such as this kept the project well within the customer’s ultimate budget.
Now that the job’s finished, the client uses the room much more than they’d initially thought.

Design Director Zoe Lee’s passion for customization is evident in this city residence where she melds the elevated experience of luxury hotels with a soft and inviting atmosphere that feels welcoming. Lee’s panache for artful contrasts pairs the richness of strong materials, such as oak and porcelain, with the sophistication of contemporary silhouettes. “The goal was to create a sense of indulgence and comfort, making every moment spent in the homea truly memorable one,” says Lee.
By enlivening a once-predominantly white colour scheme with muted hues and tactile textures, Lee was able to impart a characterful countenance that still feels comfortable. She relied on subtle details to ensure this is a residence infused with softness. “The carefully placed and concealed LED light strips throughout create a gentle and ambient illumination,” says Lee.
“They conjure a warm ambiance, while adding a touch of modernity.” Further finishes include a Shaker feature wall in the living room. It extends seamlessly to the room’s double-height ceiling, adding an element of continuity and establishing a connection with the primary ensuite’s wood panelling. “This integration of design elements creates a cohesive and visually appealing atmosphere,” Lee says.
The ensuite’s dramatically veined marble-look is carried from the walls to the countertop and even the cabinet doors. “This consistent finish serves as another unifying element, transforming the individual components into a
captivating feature wall. It adds an elegant touch to the overall aesthetic of the space.”
Pops of black hardware throughout channel that elegance and feel welcoming. Lee says, “The furnishings’ unique characteristics and visual appeal contribute to a sense of continuous luxury – it is now a home that is both bespoke and wonderfully beckoning.”

The arched ceiling has a hand painted galaxy painted by a local artist with glow in the dark paint, color changing LED lighting you can quickly adjust the mood and vibe of the room. Walls are deep gray with mosaic scone lighting, high end Kane Carpet is lush and beautiful. This room is party ready, complete with pop corn machine.
RFW Cabinetry & MillworkBuilt in media wall unit done for client in Palm Beach Florida. This beautiful unit is installed on the tenth floor in a condominium. It is installed in the living room with a lot of natural light coming in through the sliding glass doors facing the ocean. The faux finished, steel-brushed veneer paneling is made out of paldao wood. The floating console that is attached to the front of the unit by french-cleats houses the electronics for the unit and features assisted-lift blum aventos hl hinges that lift up parallel to the console.

Cre8tive Rooms LtdAs a result of the work commencing on the lounge, we were also asked to design a cinema system that could be hidden into the master bedroom. The brief was to install something that offered the same level of quality as the ground floor cinema. We opted for a Screen Innovations ZERO G drop down screen again with slate ALR material due to the amount of natural light in the room. The screen drops out of the ceilings ‘trap doors’, giving the appearance of a screen floating in zero gravity. The Artcoustic ceiling speakers and subwoofer offer brilliant sound quality and give the entire system that ultimate cinema feel. Again, to match the ground floor cinema, the Sony Laser projector was used, not only is the 4K picture incredible but it is very quiet compared to a non-laser unit, which is perfect for bedtime viewing. Both home cinemas are controlled by their Control4 home automation system, lowering the blinds as the cinema is turned on, all from the click of one button.
