The outdoor living area utilizes bold radial lines to offer a sense of unobstructed openness along the panoramic riverside views. Special consideration was given to the design and engineering of the outdoor space to allow a massive 60-foot span between columns, resulting in an unparalleled view. Playful geometric shapes speak to an easy livability that belie the bold and glamorous design. The second floor deck provides seamless access from the guest bedrooms, office and exercise rooms. The use of glass railing and zero-edge doors carefully preserve the view. Nestled in the established yet evolving Rollingwood area, this modern five-star green home responds to the unique challenges and opportunities offered by an infill lot environment and the broader context of the neighborhood and Austin. The program goals required utilizing sustainable design elements while emphasizing casual entertaining and the indoor /outdoor lifestyle of the Owner. A corridor view to the North, a western rear exposure, and a need for privacy from neighboring houses, inspires in a "Y"-shaped concept that focuses primarily toward the side rather than the rear of the property. Carefully placed glazing and a marriage of interior and exterior materials transition smoothly inside and out, while the pool sits snug against the house to create drama and flow to the exterior rooms of the rear court. Existing trees, thick masonry walls, and deep roof overhangs buffer the sun, while sustainable selections and concepts including rainwater harvesting result in an environmentally-friendly home within a cost-conscious budget. Back Swimming Pool with a Bar Area Ideas and Designs

Do new indoor or outdoor swimming pools increase the value of homes?

Outdoor or indoor swimming pools can significantly impact property value by attracting buyers with bigger budgets who are looking for a little luxury in their home. However, installing a large swimming pool could also negatively impact the value of your house if there isn’t enough space left in your garden for anything else. This is why it is important to seek guidance from a swimming pool installer or expert, and choose a swimming pool installation that can fit tastefully in your garden. What type of swimming pool should I install?

Of course, with nice garden hot tubs you may not be able swim lengths but you will be able to relax in your garden no matter the weather as you look up at the stars. If you are on a budget there are also affordable inflatable hot tubs that could work in your garden. And, just like inflatable pools, the extra advantage is that they will be able to come with you if you move!

What material should I use for spas or hot tubs?

For a hot tub to survive the changing seasons it is important to choose a material that will be durable. Cedar or other wooden hot tubs can look attractive, but will be harder to maintain. The most popular material is often vinyl for its affordability and versatility but this material is also less likely to last. To get the best bang for your buck, we would recommend opting for a concrete or a fibreglass hot tub or spa, which would provide you with a sturdy solution. In addition, metal above ground hot tubs can be a durable option.
