ING ConstructionPasadena, CA - Complete Bathroom Addition to an Existing House
For this Master Bathroom Addition to an Existing Home, we first framed out the home extension, and established a water line for Bathroom. Following the framing process, we then installed the drywall, insulation, windows and rough plumbing and rough electrical.
After the room had been established, we then installed all of the tile; shower enclosure, backsplash and flooring.
Upon the finishing of the tile installation, we then installed all of the sliding barn door, all fixtures, vanity, toilet, lighting and all other needed requirements per the Bathroom Addition.

Courtney Thomas DesignA master bathroom we dressed in cool, coastal blues and sea greens. We gave this bathroom a colorful but minimalist style, creating a refreshing, clean, and spa-like feel. The crisp white freestanding tub is placed near the tiled accent wall (a full-wall adorned in micro blue and green tiles). A floating glass shelf offers the perfect amount of space to place bath products while staying transparent and uncluttered. Behind the tub are two separate spaces, one of the large walk-in shower and the other for the toilet.
The vanity boasts beautiful cabinets, silver hardware, and a lustrous shell-like backsplash.

Mosby Building ArtsAfter living with a builder-grade version for several years, it was time to have exactly the master bathroom they longed for. Other than the two existing closets, the bathroom was gutted to begin anew.
Our client loves the Arts & Crafts style, so the bathroom echoes the aesthetic, from the sliding barn door to the His & Hers vanities and floor-to-ceiling cabinet (with room for a smartTV!). Pendent and chandelier lighting replicates Tiffany’s mission style lighting from the 1920s. And flooring and wall tiles are in the deep, rich earth tones favored by the Arts & Crafts movement.
The centerpiece of this handsome bathroom is the freestanding copper tub. Though the walk-in shower with a gorgeous, glass tile niche is mighty impressive, as well. And the clients love all the customized storage in their personal vanity.

And it’s probably good to consider your flooring or surfaces, and walls to make sure everything will complement. You want to consider the storage they offer while also making sure they make an attractive feature as you enter your bathroom. Don’t forget you need them to be durable and withstand the damp conditions, e.g. if you’re going for a painted cabinet make sure the paint is suitable for baths. The great thing is that both floor tiles and wall tiles come in a huge variety of sizes, styles, colours and patterns, so you can remodel your room completely with whatever tile choices fit with your bathroom ideas. When it comes to flooring, tiles will be durable, easy to clean and deal well with water, but if you want something different you could go with modern concrete, traditional or country-style treated wooden floorboards, or a bit more quirky bamboo, cork or vinyl. What to do with small bathrooms?
The best small bathroom ideas will maximise the space you have. From installing a bidet to simple decorative tips there are plenty of things you can do to make it look bigger. Recessed shelves can make a huge difference both visually and practically to small bathrooms, so if you are able to have these installed when your walls are being renovated you could add some to your shower or sink area. You could choose pale colours and iridescent tiles that reflect the light, keep walls and ceilings the same colour and texture, and use complementary shades throughout the bathroom– fewer contrasts and transitions will help maintain the sense of space. Floating bathroom units also draw the eye to visible floor space underneath them, and clear glass shower screens will keep the room feeling open and airy. Finishing touches like artfully placed large mirrors will also make small bathrooms appear more expansive.3
