We used an existing island butcher block as our inspiration for the design. The kitchen was opened up to the living room by adding raised seating to a wall we removed. Eco "Starry night" by Cosentino was used along the perimeter counters and granite at the raised seating. This created a great contrast of old and new materials to work with the existing butcher block.
