Cottage Kitchen

This kitchen opens up to the Dining room so in order to integrate an "island" into the kitchen I designed two openings into the dining room so the island is situated between the openings. This creates a great flow between the spaces, yet maintains the formal separation that the homeowners desired. The simple crystal storage cabinet over the "island" provides a lovely focal point for the kitchen when entertaining. The ceiling is a painted beadboard which reflects the "cottage feeling" of the home.
