Elwood on the Canal 2009

Traditional Living Room, Melbourne

I retained their sofas in both rooms as they suited my colours and styling well. This also saved them from renting more... I also retained their groovy French retro Paris stylised coffee table. In the left corner is an 18th Century English country Chippendale oak occasional chair at an 18th Century English Country oak wine table. The main wall to the right, Arnwekery (Bush Plum) Dreaming Gracie Pwerl Morton This painting describes the search for bush tucker across the Central Desert landscape which is an important part of Aboriginal life. Gracie (born 1956) specializes in painting the Bush Plum Dreaming, also known to the Alyawarre as Arnwekety. Her style of painting is distinctively minimalist and she uses a very delicate dotting technique and traditional colours, which derive from the colours of natural ochres. Acrylic on linen - 2004 - 112 cm x 181 cm Above the decorative 18th Century English oak and elm dresser base. The rectangular moulded top above three mitre, moulded frieze drawers, raised on four wavy silhouette front supports, joined by rectangular section stretchers.
