Fitted Furniture

Contemporary, London

This project was commissioned to provide storage space for wine, glasses, books and ornaments in an attic room. The client wanted to utilise the space above the worktop to store their wine and glasses. Bottles are supported by curved cutouts. The cupboard next to the winerack has 3 toughened glass shelves. THis cupboard has a toughened glass door which is hinged using sprung hinges. A cut out acts as the 'handle'. The TV stand has a drop down flap which is secured by a push catch, leaving the flap free of a door handle. The alcove on the right has 3 floating shelves. American White Oak veneered MDF and solid American White Oak were used in the construction of this project. It was finished using water based satin lacquer.
