The challenge presented by this charming estate was to design an addition for a new library and bedroom suite while not detracting from the charm and character of the home. Through careful detaiing and blending of the exterior's most vital features, the transition from existing to new is almost indistinguishable. This project was honored with the 2003 Preservation Award for excellence in renovation and restoration of an Illinois landmark structure from the Glencoe Historic Preservation Commission
