Creating the large cooking area--which houses both a high-BTU gas wok cooktop and a 36" induction cooktop--was created by replacing the old refrigerator with a counter-depth built-in SubZero refrigerator, which then allowed the door to be moved over and created the cooking area plus a safe amount of landing space to both sides.
