When planning this custom residence, the owners had a clear vision – to create an inviting home for their family, with plenty of opportunities to entertain, play, and relax and unwind. They asked for an interior that was approachable and rugged, with an aesthetic that would stand the test of time. Amy Carman Design was tasked with designing all of the millwork, custom cabinetry and interior architecture throughout, including a private theater, lower level bar, game room and a sport court. A materials palette of reclaimed barn wood, gray-washed oak, natural stone, black windows, handmade and vintage-inspired tile, and a mix of white and stained woodwork help set the stage for the furnishings. This down-to-earth vibe carries through to every piece of furniture, artwork, light fixture and textile in the home, creating an overall sense of warmth and authenticity.

PHOTO APRES / Chambre d’adolescent… Cette chambre mesurait 9,44 M2, celle juxtaposée 20,18 m2. Un sas a ensuite été créé pour séparer le palier des chambres. Après un travail en 3 D pour réaménager les pièces et surtout donner un équilibre aux deux chambres, on commence par supprimer le sas ainsi que la cloison délimitant les deux espaces. On crée une nouvelle cloison, afin d’obtenir une séparation équitable. Pose d’un parquet en chêne massif, modification du dressing existant, j’ai gardé les anciennes portes, j’ai juste apporté un côté plus contemporain avec une couleur noir velours( on évite les défauts) … Côté peintures... J’ai opté pour un gris ainsi qu’une tête de lit noir, sur le mur qui recevra la lumière, le mur perpendiculaire restera blanc. Cette configuration permet de créer un lieu harmonieux et de la profondeur avec la couleur sur le mur du fond. Création dans la pièce d’un espace de travail, étagères grises, on reste dans une ambiance ado, jeune mais studieuse.
