Ooh baby our client is excited and so are we! New room, new kiddo, new accessories, new adventure! Little cutie Carter needs a crib to crash… (so the parents can try to get some sleep) There’s nothing quite like preparing for one’s first child. From the crazy anticipation to the silliest worries, adding a plus one to the family can be a lot (not to mention the hormones and why do pickles sound SOOO good?!?) Luckily, Paxton Place is more than happy to help! We can’t bring ice cream at 2am (sorry) but we can design a cute and cozy space for you and the baby to bond together. Our client wanted a modern twist on the classics for little Carter. We chose various blues and whites for our boy; but notice the fun patterns on the ceiling and sheets. There’s a refined minimalist design with the furniture that feels timeless but looks 21st century. Transitioning, a new baby isn’t just for the parents; grandparents have to make room, also. They opted for a more traditional approach for grandbaby number 1. To accommodate, we installed soft lacy curtains and blankets for our special man. There’s also antique plates and mirrors to reflect a more mature design that matches the rest of their home. We loved creating two unique environments, connecting generations to come.

A cosy corner to cuddle and read to the baby fills the space before the baby bed find its place under the canopy. A textured and soft rug makes for a great surface for baby to start crawling. The leaf provides more softness for baby to lie on in a cute, natural shape.

Pour cette rénovation partielle d'appartement, la demande principale de mes clients était de rendre à leurs trois espaces couloir, salon et chambre d'enfant le charme de l'Haussmanien. Ils souhaitaient valoriser les volumes grâce à des aménagements sur-mesure dans la zone salon. Le mobilier a été dessiné par mes soins puis réalisé par un menuisier. Le point de départ de la décoration a été le coin salle à manger constitué de ces quatre chaises bleues et de cette table au piétement en noyer. Un aplat de couleur bleu a été sélectionné, des moulures et corniches ajoutées ainsi que du mobilier rappelant les codes de l'Haussmanien, La chambre d'enfant quant à elle s'est habillée d'une belle peinture rose plâtre et de deux charmantes suspensions. La porte de l'ancien placard a été supprimée pour laisser place à une niche ouverte qui permet d'avoir les jeux à portée de mains mais aussi d'exposer les jolies décorations. This nursery is the perfect room for a little baby boy and his mom. It has all of the comforts that any nursery would need. The client already had the bed, crib and other furniture. We basically turned this from a little girls room into a nursery for baby boy. We selected the color palette, we had the glider reupholstered in red, we made the custom cornice, supplied the nautical rug, accessories and night stand. The mirror was an old silver mirror that the client had, so we spray painted it and added some rope detail. We are thrilled with the way the room turned out and so are the clients. We were delighted to find out a previous client of ours was expecting another baby! We were tasked to design a nursery that was calming, masculine and playful. We incorporated a curated gallery wall, ceiling mural and LED baby name sign that cannot be forgotten! Within this small space, we had to include a crib, rocking chair, changing table and daybed. We were focused on making it functional for not only the baby but also for the parents. The fur rug is not only extremely comfortable, but also machine washable - that's a win-win! The layered jute rug underneath creates visual interest and texture. The striped ottoman, black daybed and leather drawer pulls bring the masculinity to the room. We had a custom LED baby name sign made for over the crib, which can be dimmed to any brightness and is safe for children (unlike neon). Baby Andres was born on May 11th. 2020.
