Melbourne Girls Grammar has a strong sense of History and the decision to restore their reception spaces was one taken with care. Working with the School and their extended community Arkee refurbished the reception spaces of the school’s beautiful heritage building.
A warm and welcoming atmosphere has been created, taking into consideration the functionality, existing features of the rooms and the schools core value of Integrity.
Arkee made recommendations on paint, finishes, custom designed furniture and accessories to accentuate the ornate original ceiling and timber parquetry. Antique chandeliers were sourced to replace the existing light fittings to complete these rooms that have seen numerous generations of women educated in Melbourne since 1893. Armelle Habib
