Formerly, a range AND fridge shared this alcove. Moving a tall, skinny fridge to a former pantry located to the left of this alcove made it possible to give some space for a new range flanked with drawer stacks on either side for these two avid cooks. The choice of an inexpensive glass sheet mosaic tile made it possible to tile the entire alcove for easy maintenance and cool industrial mesh look.
