A kitchen update of a historical house in Monrovia was a true delight. Preservation of the existing flooring, moldings and windows was the key to allowing this new and fresh kitchen to keep its old world feel. All the accessories such as the light fixtures, pulls and sink are made out of copper with a nice rough finish to it. the counter tops are Quartz stone for durability and the cabinets are the classical white shaker with groves in it. the key to tie it all together was the backsplash, see the complexity of the combination of the different pieces: the 3x12 main tile the 3x12 decorative pieces running all around the pencil liner to border the backsplash all around.

We took an old boring white kitchen and jazzed it up for a creative and spunky homeowner using Brookhaven II cabinetry. Face frames in a pale cherry highlight the burgundy finished doors; a color scheme which is continued in the trim details and enhanced with contrasting green granite. While the basic work triangle did not change, we added usability with many deep drawers and lazy susans (both base and wall) in the corners. San Luis Kitchen took a cramped kitchen in a small beach house and opened it up by changing the layout. The one-time peninsula divided the large room into three small spaces -- the kitchen, a small seating area & a hallway/anteroom. Restructuring the kitchen to line the main wall and adding an island, we created a true "great room". The homeowner now has a more organized integrated space for their daily lives. Remodeled using Brookhaven cabinetry.

A truly soft contemporary look using Brookhaven cabinetry -- clean lines without fuss mix with warm colors and light wood finishes for an inviting whole. A kitchen that you want to cook in. We combined the kitchen entry and pass-thru into one big opening, removing the short hanging cabinets and adding a bar peninsula, to create an open plan kitchen/dining/living area. Next, we moved the refrigerator down, centering it on the wall, removing it from its former cramped corner position. On either side of the refrigerator the homeowner’s wife requested extra wide (42”) deep drawers and more counter space. The range remained in place and gained a stylish stainless chimney hood. For great storage access we added corner swing-out shelves, lots of deep drawers, roll-out shelves and a pull-out trash cabinet. The wall corner cabinets were flared for extra storage and optional lazy susans. The new counter is engineered quartz with a textured finish in a dark charcoal color. The backsplash features large format tile in a variegated pattern of beige and green while the floor tile harmonizes in tones of mossy green. We added a nice new stainless dishwasher and undermount stainless sink and finished off the remodel with a tray ceiling and recessed lights.
