A new Tudor bay added to the front of an existing red brick home using new stone to integrate the base with the existing stone base. Fir windows and cedar trim are stained complementary colors. The darker window color draws out the dark "clinker" bricks. The roof is Certainteed Grand Manor asphalt shingles designed to appear as slate. The gutters and downspouts are copper.
The paint of the stucco is Benjamin Moore Exterior low luster in color: “Briarwood”.

This house, in eastern Washington’s Kittitas County, is sited on the shallow incline of a slight elevation, in the midst of fifty acres of pasture and prairie grassland, a place of vast expanses, where only distant hills and the occasional isolated tree interrupt the view toward the horizon. Where another design might seem to be an alien import, this house feels entirely native, powerfully attached to the land. Set back from and protected under the tent-like protection of the roof, the front of the house is entirely transparent, glowing like a lantern in the evening.
Along the windowed wall that looks out over the porch, a full-length enfilade reaches out to the far window at each end. Steep ship’s ladders on either side of the great room lead to loft spaces, lighted by a single window placed high on the gable ends. On either side of the massive stone fireplace, angled window seats offer views of the grasslands and of the watch tower. Eight-foot-high accordion doors at the porch end of the great room fold away, extending the room out to a screened space for summer, a glass-enclosed solarium in winter.
In addition to serving as an observation look-out and beacon, the tower serves the practical function of housing a below-grade wine cellar and sleeping benches. Tower and house align from entrance to entrance, literally linked by a pathway, set off axis and leading to steps that descend into the courtyard.
Normandy Remodeling
This second story bedroom is part of a two story addition designed by Normandy Designer Stephanie Bryant CKD. This colorful girls bedroom is everything these homeowners had hoped for. The transom windows and double hung windows let the room fill with natural light as well.
Marvin
On the Wellington Village project we also used Marvin retractable screens, as well as Marvin Complete cellular light filtering shades. These were greatly appreciated innovations for the client, in particular, the retractable screen which allows for a laundry line from the second floor to be accessed easily from the laundry room.
We also used tri-pane low e1, tempered low e1, this home is built to R2000 standards.
The satin nickel hardware on doors, white hardware and screen surrounds on windows, custom patio doors, structural assemblies were all attibutes of the Marvin product put to use as well as a custom front door, and oversized windows. Stone white exterior, primed white interior with drywall returns on all windows as a finishing detail.

Fun House Furnishings & Design
New Jersey Designer Show House guest bedroom. Hickory Chair twin beds with a horizontal stripe headboard and custom bedding. The house was a disaster; the ceilings were falling in, along with everything else. We refaced the fireplace and kept the original insert, using a hand-glazed teal tile to make the fireplace a focal point of the room. The mantle was in pieces on the floor when we first saw the room, but we put it back together, preserving the intricate detail of the house. The Beeline Home red Ohm mirror hangs above the fireplace to add a great pop of color. The space was large, so we wanted to use twin beds to allow for multiple guests. A comfortable sitting area in front of the fireplace allows for guests to feel like they have a private space of their own to relax. The walls are covered in a Larsen wallpaper. The window treatments add a feeling of whimsy to this dark castle. The windows are stained glass and original to the room. We had a wonderful time participating in the Mansion in May 2012 Show House.

For our client's Master Bedroom and Ensuite we wanted to create a comfortable yet elegant retreat. A stylish palette of tones of greys, powder blues and ivory in luxurious fabrics and finishes. Subtle detailing in the tufted headboard with nail head trim, mother of pearl buttons on the drapery pleats and crystal knobs on the custom built-in storage unit enhance the sophistication and elegance of the space.
The wall to wall cabinetry was custom designed and built to house our client’s accessories, clothing and shoe collection. Customized details include felt lined jewellery drawers, adjustable dividers for purses and a vanity area for applying make-up.
The mark of elegance and relaxation are repeated in the Master Ensuite. A soft, neutral palette of greys and white retains the classic feel of the home and leaves way for the gorgeous marble floors to stand out. Floor to ceiling pleated sheers frame the free-standing claw foot tub allowing for natural light to shine through and provide the perfect back drop to the sparkling glass chandelier. His and her sinks are situated next to the spacious glass shower enclosure providing optimum storage.
Hill Farm Furniture Ltd
This large kitchen in a converted schoolhouse needed an unusual approach. The owners wanted an eclectic look – using a diverse range of styles, shapes, sizes, colours and finishes.
The final result speaks for itself – an amazing, quirky and edgy design. From the black sink unit with its ornate mouldings to the oak and beech butcher’s block, from the blue and cream solid wood cupboards with a mix of granite and wooden worktops to the more subtle free-standing furniture in the utility.
Top of the class in every respect!

Inclined Studio
Project: THE YELLOW DOOR HOUSE
Location:Pune
Carpet Area: 2000 sq.ft
Type: 2 bhk Penthouse
Company: Between Walls
Designer: Natasha Shah
Photography courtesy: Inclined Studio (Maulik Patel)
This project started two year ago with a very defined brief. This is a weekend gateway penthouse of 2000 sq.ft (approx.) for our client Mr. Vishal Jain. The penthouse is a 2BHK with ample terrace space which is perfect to host parties and enjoy a nice chilly evening watching a movie overlooking the stars above.
The client was fascinated by his travel to Greece and wanted his holiday home to reflect his love for it. We explored the concepts and realised that it’s all about using local materials and being sustainable as far as possible in design. We visualised the space as a white space with yellows and blues and various patterns and textures. We had to give the client the experience of a holiday home that he admired keeping in mind that the vernacular design sense should still remain but with materials that were available in and around Pune.
We started selecting materials that were sustainable and handcrafted in our city majorly. We wanted to use local materials available in Pune in such a way that they looked different and we could achieve the effect that the client was looking for as an end product. Use of recyclable material was also done at a great extent as cost was a major factor, it being a vacation home. We reused the waste kota that was discarded on site as the terrace flooring and created a pattern out of it which replicated the old streets of Greece. The beds and seating we made in civil and finished with IPS. The staircase tread is made out of readymade tread-tiles and the risers are of printed tiles to pop in a little colour and the railing is made on-site from Teakwood and polished. All internal floorings and and dado’s are tiles. A blue dummy window has been reused from and repainted.
The main door is Painted yellow to bring in the cheerfulness and excitement. As we enter the living room everything around is in shades of white and then there are browns, yellows and blues splashed on the canvas. The jute carpet, the pots and the cane wall art are all handcrafted. The balcony connects to the living and kids room. A rocking chair has been placed there to unwind and relax. The light and shadow play that the ceiling bamboo performs throughout the day adds to a lot of character in the balcony. The kids room has been kept simple with just hanging ropes from the ceiling on the corners of the bed for it to connect to the outdoors and the rustic nature is continued from the living to kids room. The blue master bedroom door opens up to a very dramatic blue ceiling and white sheer space along with a cozy corner with a round jute carpet and bamboo wall art.
The terrace entrance door continuous to the yellow on door and its yellow tiles. The bar overlooks the beautiful sunset view. There are steps created as seating space to enjoy a movie projected on the front blank wall in the front. The seating is made in civil and is finished with IPS. The green wall make the space picture perfect.

Gut renovation of 1880's townhouse. New vertical circulation and dramatic rooftop skylight bring light deep in to the middle of the house. A new stair to roof and roof deck complete the light-filled vertical volume. Programmatically, the house was flipped: private spaces and bedrooms are on lower floors, and the open plan Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen is located on the 3rd floor to take advantage of the high ceiling and beautiful views. A new oversized front window on 3rd floor provides stunning views across New York Harbor to Lower Manhattan.
The renovation also included many sustainable and resilient features, such as the mechanical systems were moved to the roof, radiant floor heating, triple glazed windows, reclaimed timber framing, and lots of daylighting.
