In this combination living room/ family room, form vs function is at it's best.. Formal enough to host a cocktail party, and comfortable enough to host a football game. The wrap around sectional accommodates 5-6 people and the oversized ottoman has room enough for everyone to put their feet up! The high back, stylized wing chair offers comfort and a lamp for reading. Decorative accessories are placed in the custom built bookcases freeing table top space for drinks, books, etc. Magazines and current reading are neatly placed in the rattan tray for easy access. The overall neutral color palette is punctuated by soft shades of blue around the room.

A trendy yet sophisticated lounging area. Large enough for social gatherings, overlooked by kitchen bar stools. Grey/blue couch stands out against brown barstools and coffee table. Statement pieces strategically placed on table, beautiful decoration and conversation pieces.

When we think of preparing for Christmas, we rarely consider repainting a room. But the Charcoal grey walls are one of the most noteworthy aspects of this setting. A contemporary Christmas is about challenging the norms of traditions like a red and green palette and showing that darker shades can be just as cosy. Moreover, by keeping the palette a little more pared-back, the warmth of the decorations really shines through.

I was called into this home to re-decorate for the new owners. Although they loved the finishes that already existed in the home - floor stain, wall and ceiling colors, window treatments, there were a few things that didn't work for their family that needed to be changed. In addition, they needed all new furniture to fill this house that would reflect the coastal location, but remain traditional in style. I accomplished this with the exception of one surprise space!

Whenever we do our Christmas photoshoots, there’s a lot of build up to any that involve a dining table. It’s the shot that’s usurped the Christmas tree. It’s overtaken the festive fireplace. Delicious food and gathering those closest to you around the table is the most cherished part of Christmas Day, and so it’s no surprise that it’s become the most memorable setting in the entire house.
The rustic, tactile Bowsley range is perfect in its imperfection. Each piece is handmade. The soft shell white gives the range a fresh Scandinavian seaside feel, whilst the undulating ridges and raised detailing give it a pleasing texture.

A balance of the clean-lined and classic Brings a serene, expansive air to this condominium…..
…..before asking interior designer Jennifer Corredor, Of J Design Group, to redress the interior.
With magnificent views, the 12th-level, over 5000 SF unit Had at the same time suffered from a fussy décor that underplayed the outlook and gave it a rather close atmosphere, says Corredor.
“For the remodel, I wanted to achieve a look that reflected the spirit of the young owners but that would also be in keeping with a family home – the couple has five children. For me, this meant striking a delicate balance between the contemporary and traditional right through the interiors. Modern accents cater to their youthful tastes, while the more classical elements evoke the feeling of warmth and solidity appropriate to a family residence.”
The first thing the designer did was…….
“As soon as you step into the foyer from the lift, this run of marble leads the eye through the formal living space and out to the sea views,” says Corredor.
“I designed the entry in clean-lined green glass panels and laminated cherry wood, custom cut in a jigsaw-like pattern. The interlocking wood panels cover all four sides of a circulation hub, the nucleus of the home.” In the formal living area, a mother-of-pearl accent wall provides the leading contemporary feature. Most of the furniture pieces, fabrics and finishes were custom specified by Corredor…….

For our client's Master Bedroom and Ensuite we wanted to create a comfortable yet elegant retreat. A stylish palette of tones of greys, powder blues and ivory in luxurious fabrics and finishes. Subtle detailing in the tufted headboard with nail head trim, mother of pearl buttons on the drapery pleats and crystal knobs on the custom built-in storage unit enhance the sophistication and elegance of the space.
The wall to wall cabinetry was custom designed and built to house our client’s accessories, clothing and shoe collection. Customized details include felt lined jewellery drawers, adjustable dividers for purses and a vanity area for applying make-up.
The mark of elegance and relaxation are repeated in the Master Ensuite. A soft, neutral palette of greys and white retains the classic feel of the home and leaves way for the gorgeous marble floors to stand out. Floor to ceiling pleated sheers frame the free-standing claw foot tub allowing for natural light to shine through and provide the perfect back drop to the sparkling glass chandelier. His and her sinks are situated next to the spacious glass shower enclosure providing optimum storage.
