Alternating smooth stucco walls and rough stone walls reflect both the texture of the natural hillside and the smooth texture of the existing architecture. The walls tame the intimidating slope and create usable space at the front entry. A circular flagstone patio emerges from the walls and creates a gathering space around a central fire feature. A large Basalt column water features greets guests as they arrive to the sight and sound of flowing water.
