Reef knot entrance gates detail
Contemporary Entrance, Sussex
This set of entrance gates were commissioned for a coastal property in Emsworth, and combine traditional ironwork with an original contemporary design. Our brief was for gates with a subtle maritime flavour and so we developed this knot motif which captures the playful looping and knotting of rope. Of course the knotting of hot steel is far less easy to achieve but as with many of our projects a range of custom tooling was developed to make this a little easier. Hampshire, 2016.
