Renovation For Open Plan Living

An expansive feeling was achieved in the small kitchen by removing an alcove that held a refrigerator (see BEFORE #2 photo below) - affording sight lines across the stair into the living room. The renovation increased openness, daylight, and connection between spaces. A door to basement stair landing was also removed and a single structural column was retained.
