Modern Conservatory, Toronto

Eastern white cedar (locally sourced) is used for all the framing and siding. Leaving the structure exposed on the interior like this requires a level of workmanship and attention to detail which is much more difficult to achieve than when all framing is concealed behind drywall. Attention to where fasteners are located, nailing patterns, etc. are all important.
