The transition between the formal dining room that the kitchen is eased by the addition of a new sideboard that picks up the counter material from the kitchen island. New stairs were carefully stained to match the existing box beam woodwork. A new bank of glass doors let in the light while their dark hardwood casing and sash tie them thematically back to the rest of the home. Photos by Photo Art Portraits
