Mes clients ont fait appel à moi pour les aider dans le choix du sol, des couleurs des murs ainsi que les luminaires de leur pièce de vie. Leur cuisine rouge et grise existante était une contrainte de taille puisque le rouge est une couleur déjà forte, difficile à marier je trouve. Je leur ai donc proposé dans un premier temps un terracotta assez clair, puis un corail et ils ont finalement choisi ce rose clair. Un choix audacieux pour une pièce de vie ! Mais cette couleur contraste bien avec leurs chaises en velours vert/gris et leurs jolis meubles en bois. Elle rend aussi la pièce beaucoup plus chaleureuse ! Côté sol, le choix s’est porté sur un parquet vinyle effet chêne clair pour sa facilité d’entretien et son côté cosy. Côté entrée, les portes de placards ont été personnalisées grâce à un papier peint tropical noir et blanc. Cela donne tout de suite un peu de peps et de personnalité à une entrée qui était auparavant toute blanche. Parfois, il faut pas grand chose pour twister une déco !

What are the best dining chairs for my table?

If your table hasn’t been sold with matching chairs then you have some extra flexibility to select dining chairs that suit your desired dining room feel. For traditional dining rooms you will want to opt for a full set of high backed formal dining chairs, whether these are upholstered, leather or wood framed. If you are looking for a more informal dining room, then a selection of mismatched chairs in different materials such as moulded plastic and even metal can be a great way to achieve this. For a really relaxed dining experience, you could even opt for a full length bench, which has the additional advantage of saving space as it can be tucked away under the table when not in use.

How should I decorate my Scandinavian dining room?

Low pendant lights directly over the dining table are both practical and striking, or for large formal dining rooms you may want to opt for a traditional chandelier hung from the centre of the room.
