Simple Elegance

This kitchen opens into both a breakfast room and family room, and it was difficult to tell where one ended and the other begun. We designed an elegant octagon ceiling detail that added interest, clearly stated that this area was separate, and created a more intimate feeling at the island by bringing the high ceiling a little closer to those sitting at the island. We also replaced the old thermafoil cabinets with Brookhaven maple painted cabinetry. The cabinetry is designed to work with the homeowner's change of taste in color over the years.
