This new detached house has been built in the grounds of a Listed building, in a Conservation Area on the edge of town. The design maximises passive energy efficiency measures, such as solar gain, excellent levels of insulation and rain water harvesting. The interior is planned around a two storey space, behind the full height glazed screen, with the staircase rising up to a first floor balcony overlooking the entrance, this maximises daylight to the core of the house, views out over the garden and town beyond.
