Swags and Romans

Traditional Games Room, New York

My lovely clients asked during our first meeting to embellish and finish the windows, yet keep the light and view to the backyard. The negative space on either side of the crescent window bothered my client. After careful consideration, double swags with jabots in contrast fabric were hung from three rosettes in rose gold. J.P. Baker fabric called Eleanors Chinese showcases birds in upright and downward position. To continue the large area from family room to kitchen eat in area, we alternated relaxed romans with the swags. A single roman flanks both sides of the entertainment area. The results are fabulous!! Design concept Lauran Corson
