The Woodside Project

The brief for this 1930's family home was to inject character and fun as well as practical layout. The clients wanted originality within their comfort zone. The blank canvas for the extension area became the open-plan family dining room and music/play room. An intense yellow wall created instant vibrance which was highlighted in the egg yolk print on the wall opposite. A textured wallpapered ceiling adds interest whilst zoning the area. Accents of blues, greens and pink elements bring the space to life. The lounge room is a space for relaxation, and the beautiful wall colour (Inchyra blue by Farrow and Ball) sets the mood. The blue and green tones of the wall are continued in the bespoke carpentry, the velvet sofa and the vintage armchairs. Accents of rust, provide a striking contrast.
