При помощи раздвижной перегородки кухня может быть частью гостиной, либо становиться полностью автономной. В парадном холле предусмотрена серия застеклённых стеллажей для хранения коллекций. Классическая живопись, много лет собираемая главой семьи, служит украшением интерьеров. Очень эффектен мозаичный рисунок пола в холле. В квартире множество элементов, созданных специально для данного интерьера - витражные светильники в потолке, мозаики, индивидуальные предметы мебели. В большом общем пространстве нашли своё место антикварные комоды, витрины и светильники.

During this gut renovation of a 3,950 sq. ft., four bed, three bath stately landmarked townhouse in Clinton Hill, the homeowners sought to significantly change the layout and upgrade the design of the home with a two-story extension to better suit their young family. The double story extension created indoor/outdoor access on the garden level; a large, light-filled kitchen (which was relocated from the third floor); and an outdoor terrace via the master bedroom on the second floor. The homeowners also completely updated the rest of the home, including four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a powder room, and a library. The owner’s triplex connects to a full-independent garden apartment, which has backyard access, an indoor/outdoor living area, and its own entrance.

Your hallway or hall is the place you usually enter and exit the house, meaning it’s usually the place you want to load up or unload all your outdoor items – coats, jackets, umbrellas, hats, shoes, scarves, and often bags and keys, too. However, narrow hallways are common in a lot of UK and Irish properties so hallway storage can sometimes be hard to achieve. If yours is big enough, it can be furnished with seating such as a traditional hallway bench, armchair, rocking chair or beanbag; you could add an elegant small table, lamps, hallway storage boxes, ottoman or bookcase (or all of the above!) to create a comfortable nook for reading, listening to music, or just passing the time.

Traditional Landing furniture ideas

The landing at the top of your staircase is too often a neglected but can provide valuable, flexible, additional space. The golden rule of furnishing landings is to ensure stairways aren’t impeded, but even with limited floor space this is an area that affords ample opportunity for furniture and design. Some traditional landings may have enough room for furniture such as seating or bookshelves to create a quiet reading area, or a desk and shelving to provide a makeshift work space. Even if your landing is on the smaller side, use classic landing ideas such as a small traditional hall table or stool accessorised with a table lamp, an antique bowl or flowers, which will add interest. A beautiful window seat can be the prize feature of a house, so if you have a bay window on your landing it seems a crying shame not to make the most of it. For a built-in option, seating with added storage can be installed under the window; alternatively, simply placing an elegant bench, miniature sofa or chaise longue in the window will add charm to your landing.
