Fat and Appy: Modern Art Canvases for Children

Jonathan Fenske shared his amazing talent with our family by painting a commission for our eldest son in 2004. It remains our single favorite piece of artwork 11 years and three additional boys later. We gave him some general ideas and trusted trusted him to do his thing. And did he ever! It is a prized family possession that gets more compliments than any other piece in our home. He takes these every day, common pieces and paints them into objects of fantastic art.

We have two original works by Jonathan Fenske. This one was bought to enhance our sons' playroom. Jonathan's work is intriguing and always commands questions and positive comments from our guests. We highly recommend working with him and purchasing his artwork.

I hired Jonathan Fenske for two commission paintings last year - one for my brother's wedding and another for our home. Jonathan is great to work with. We love his art. His paintings have incredible detail, color and personality. They tell a story and make us smile. I saw Jonthan's art in a gallery in Atlanta about 8 years ago. I decided to reach out to see if he could do a commission painting for my brother's wedding. He agreed, and what a fun experience it was. Jonathan met with me to understand my goals and to get to know my brother and his wife better. From there, he painted the perfect scene incorporating their personalities, history and interests. It was the perfect gift. Jonathan did a second commission for us this year - a Chicago scene that is very meaningful to us. Again, it tells a story and makes us smile. Visitors love it too. Jonathan and I are working on a third commission this year. I look forward to that collaboration!
