Claire is an architect with twenty five years of working experience in Southern Africa, North America and the United Kingdom. She has two bachelors degrees in architecture from Cape Town in South Africa and an Msc Architecture in Environment and Energy from the UK. Claire’s design ethos aims for creative, innovative and appropriate design solutions, shaped to enhance and express the personality and needs of the client. She strongly advocates that the topographical constraints of a site and the immediate and wider context should inform a site-specific architectural solution, with an emphasis on environmental and ecological responsibility. Claire eschews brash architecture and predetermined style cliché’s in favour of original, uncompromising and appropriate design. Careful attention to light and exquisite detailing provide polished, sophisticated solutions – from initial design concept to the smallest item of bespoke furniture and the tiniest interior feature.
