As a building company specializing in residential projects, such as side/rear extensions, loft and basement conversions, and full house refurbishments, we have worked with Millar Howard Workshop on a number of West and South West London projects. Being focused on clients’ desires, Tom Howard and his team always come up with innovative residential solutions that combine aesthetics and practicality. It’s has always been a pleasure for us to work with them, as they possess great technical knowledge, exceptional attention to details and they are always efficient and easy to deal with. Our favourite projects with them are a unique side extension at Wellesley Avenue, Hammersmith and a kitchen project at Kerrison Road, Clapham. I bought a very ordinary little London house with no architectural merit. I first called in Tom to advise on how I could include another bathroom, but we were quickly rethinking the whole house. Tom's ideas were imaginative and completely turned the house around. The most exciting part was a new, douglas fir clad, extension on two levels that slotted into a strange gap at the back of the house and the start of another street that ran at right angles. It completely transformed the layout, creating a more decent kitchen and adding a room above. I trust Tom implicitly - his ideas are great, he is mindful about budget and he understands how you want to live. He was very professional and held my hand through the entire project.

Millar Howard were our architects on our project to build what we have called 'The Gillyflower'; a rammed earth sound proofed and very beautiful, sustainable wedding and events venue. From the very early stages of this project (before we even knew what the business was going to be).. MHW worked with us on feasibility, planning, creative ideas, design and administrated the contract with our excellent builders, JR Building LTD. We couldn't be more happy with the level of service we got and they often went beyond the limits of our brief to ensure that we ended up with what is now a very popular, impressive and stunning building perfectly sitting in the landscape.
