My Architect

We engaged MyArchitect for the design and planning phase of our renovation for a back extension and a loft conversion of our mid-terrace Edwardian home. Sehr was attentive and detailed throughout, she listened carefully and came up with some exceptional solutions for us. Our experience with MyArchitect in general has been excellent and I would highly recommend Sehr for her expertise and for generally being lovely to deal with at all stages. She kept us on track when we wavered and was open to amendments. I am really pleased with the plans we have now and look forward to working with them on the next phase of the project when we get there.

Working with our architect, Dani, was an absolute pleasure. Dani brought an exceptional blend of creativity, professionalism, and dedication to every aspect of the project. We were referred to My-Architect from a friend of ours who had used them previously. From the get-go they were very responsive and very reasonable with their pricing. Emily was assigned to us as our architect. Her work was always timely, and accurate and she spent time going through the decision making process when considering wall placement. She was open on the planning application stages, what we were likely to be asked, what parts of the project could be questioned, and gave us the option of an “easy” route, or what we would need to show to get more “non-standard” works done. She worked with the council, and all was approved first time round. We later had queries from both the structural engineer, and the neighbours party wall surveyor, both of which Emily responded to in a timely manner, and resolved immediately. We’ve now broken ground, and I honestly can’t recommend Emily and the team enough.

Really enjoyed working with Dani on our project, and it's great that we have future proofed any further development for the house as we got designs and planning for all of our wildest ideas. Planning application was so smooth thanks to the team and everyone was always really responsive if we ever needed any alterations to the plans. The tender system to help us find the right building team for our project was so helpful and we were really pleased with the team we progressed with.

Really quick, professional and cost effective solution. We had looked at other, more traditional architecture practices, who were all a bit old-fashioned and slow moving, whereas Harry, Emily and the team were able to move fast, bring new ideas and help create the plans and surrounding building control submissions all to life. Would recommend to anyone looking for help in this area.

We found My Architect after asking for recommendations on a local WhatsApp group. I can confidently say that we hit the jackpot with them! After a meeting with Harry, he put Dani on our project and she has been a superstar! She listened to our wants and needs and designed a fabulous new loft and kitchen extension. Dani came up with a few initial designs and explained our options to fit within our budget. Dani also delt with our planning application. It couldn't have been any easier! Dani delt with all the planning officers questions and explained to us what they wanted us to change. Dani was able to tweak the design in order to satisfy planning and actually improve our layout. We then used their tender service where we were set up with 5 different builders to quote us on our project. My Architects tender service is fantastic, it allowed us to go through all the details of the build so that we had a comprehensive quote with no nasty suprises. I have always been a bit wary of builders but the builders we ended up choosing have been amazing. It's credit to My Architect for having a brilliant network of trades and I would trust anyone they recommend. Dani is available for any queries and support, which is amazing - especially if this it the first time you are doing an extension. Honestly, if you are looking for a full service on your project from start to finish My Architect is the company to use! I could not recommend them highly enough. We engaged with My architect in late 2020 to design a complete renovation of our house, a double story side extension and loft conversation. Harry and Dani initiated the plans and Dani took the lead for all re-designs and changes we wanted. She also submitted all our applications to the council and helped us challenge some of the changes they requested so that we could get the plans we wanted approved. She followed up with the council many times when there were delays on their side and she was professional and patient when dealing with them. Nothing was too much to ask when we needed to have another meeting or discuss changes to the design. Dani also introduced us to our building contractors, 3Build who were also faultless and delivered the full renovation on time and on budget by December 2023. Dani visited us many times before the renovation took place and throughout the build itself, so she was there to see the house transform from the dream design on paper to a full reality. We would highly recommend Dani and Harry and the My Architect team to anyone considering undertaking a home re-design. They are a joy to work with.

Our architect (Hristo) walked us through the process, understood our vision and got us through planning permissions with speed , which was amazing as we wanted something which had no precedent in the area. We used my-architect for our extension and renovation project, and they were fantastic throughout. We worked with Dani, and we were able to design our project with her in real time. We started with the current building and literally were able to draw the project with her, making suggestions and changes along the way. Dani was obviously passionate about her job and she was really excited for our project. She was able to offer ideas and solutions, and we were really pleased with the drawings we ended up with. My-architect managed the whole process through getting planning permission which we received on the first application. One of the best things about working with them was the matchmaking process when it came to finding a builder. We weren’t sure where to start and we were really reassured that My-architect had vetted the building firms that quoted for our project, and knew that they were reliable and reputable. The team from My-architect stayed in touch throughout the project, were able to help when any issues cropped up, and came to visit the project to see how it was getting on. We are so happy with our house, and would thoroughly recommend My-architect!

As this was our first ever renovation and build, it was incredibly helpful that the team had broken down each of the phases with a clear set of deliverables at each stage.
