Topo Architects

Topo is an architectural practice based in Newcastle upon Tyne. We work on a wide range of domestic and commercial projects across the UK which include urban design, architecture, interiors and joinery. Each project we undertake is entirely bespoke; we work carefully and collaboratively with clients to deliver exceptionally well crafted, unique and well executed projects. Our projects are drawn out of a close understanding of the cultural, historical and material qualities of a place. We work closely with contractors, crafts people, artists and suppliers to develop projects that celebrate a creative use of materials, light, texture and surfaces to create spaces that age gracefully and are imbued with a sense of belonging. Each project we undertake engages with and responds to it’s surroundings; we are looking to create architecture that is contemporary but not isolated in time. Building on many years of experience working with public organisations and private clients our ongoing projects include new build homes, refurbishments and extensions, the restoration of historic properties, retail, cultural and public arts projects.
