We have used Clayton on two occasions now; the first was for a loft conversion with bedrooms and an en-suite, and in the second occasion was for a kitchen extension. Both times Clayton has been excellent. He listened and interpreted our requirements very well, often adding things we had not considered and his work was very detailed. In fact our builders were able to get straight on with the work and commented how thorough and beneficial it was to have such good drawings to work to. Clayton Taylor - (Trotman and Taylor Architects) We purchase a building plot on Billacombe Road in 2014 in which Clayton had carried out the planning process for the vendor we purchased it off. We decided to use Clayton for the building control application and the full design. Our first meet with Clayton was great , we had a few ideas and he was totally on board with helping us build a perfect home which we still live in. Even though we did not employ him to oversee the build, he was always there if i needed him. He also helped with the sourcing of the Structural engineer who was sound. Clayton Taylor was recommend to me by my builder, who had used him on several occasions. After preliminary discussions, I felt confident that I could work with Clayton and that he would be able to deliver on my dream project. Clayton is very knowledgable about all aspects of design and regulations. If he has to work with something new or he hasn't worked with before, then he will thoroughly research it to ensure it is right for you and the project. He will recommend the very best materials, but also understands that a budget does not always stretch to the very best and will come up with very good alternatives, that will fit the budget. If you are a novice, like I was, this was my first new build, then he can guide you through and help dealing with planning, structural engineers, building control etc. Invaluable when you have never done this before. Clayton has a flare for design. I did a lot of the initial design to our new house, but Clayton was able to take my ideas and improve on them, seeing things that worked better and giving the WOW factor. His drawings are extremely detailed that any builder will love. Nothing is left to chance. Everything is checked and checked again. I couldn't be happier with the work that Clayton has produced for me. He has helped deliver a dream house for my wife and I, He is a thoroughly nice guy to work with and could not recommend him highly enough. If I ever do this again, then I will, without doubt, be using the services of Clayton Taylor.

We have used Trotman Taylor; aka Clayton Taylor, on 2 occasions: The first time was for plans to build a 3 bay cart lodge - the plans produced were creative,comprehensive and instrumental in getting planning approval from Dartmoor National Park. Clayton guided us through the whole process. The second time was to integrate a separated upper floor from the main house and link it into the other floors. Again Clayton provided plans that were imaginative, innovative and maximised the use of the space. He also assisted with the application for Building Control to a successful conclusion. In both cases Clayton was thorough with several site visits, he communicated well at all stages of the planning with patience and full explanations of the different options for the build. His business plan was clearly set out. Clayton was able to recommend local builders and tradesmen all of whom said that ‘if you can't build off Claytons plans , you cant build off anything as they are so comprehensive and leave nothing to chance!’ We consider Cayton’s services to be excellent value for money and wouldn't hesitate to use this business again and we would recommend him to anyone.
