“The best Liberty collaboration in the last 10 years!” Liz Silvester (Head of Visual Identity, Liberty London) Rooted in The Arts, Bloc+Bloc brings experience designing and fabricating projects for clients such as Liberty Of London and Harvey Nichols to the residential market. Our diverse London based studio of architects, designers and makers, collaborates with our clients to deliver bespoke ambitious projects. We develop briefs, research and then design. We sketch, make physical and computational models, and prototype to test and refine projects. We also specialise in fabricating specialist parts of projects that require complex detailing and attention. We believe that through conversation and design we can have a positive impact on individuals as well as communities. Creating places ready for now as well as the future. Creative Director, Satyajit Das is an architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects. He worked for Sir Norman Foster's architecture firm for several years before developing his own art practice through the Architecture Social Club art collective. Having trained at the Royal College of Arts in London and Cambridge University, Satyajit has a unique perspective projected through his research-based spatial, kinetic and light-based practice. Satyajit has worked and led projects for clients such as Apple (retail stores and headquarters), Microsoft, Pink Floyd for an exhibition at the V&A, film director Zhang Yimou at the National Centre of Performing Arts in Beijing, Microsoft, The Crown Estate and Liberty London. He has over a decade of experience running music events having worked with artists such as Hot Chip, Jeff Mills and Justice. These years informed much of Satyajit’s work, which has aimed to create a human connection to each other as well as our wider humanity. Satyajit gives talks at internationally renowned design conferences such as Design Indaba and delivers guest lectures at the University of Arts London (UAL), and Condé Nast College (Vogue). He is also a teaching fellow of Architecture and Engineering and runs a design unit at University College London’s Bartlett School of Architecture.
