“Michael Bird is a very talented and knowledgeable Architect specializing in Adirondack style homes. He designed our home and garage, obtained all permits, hired top contractors and supervised the entire construction and landscape project. The finished product is amazing. His attention to detail is impeccable. He and his staff are a pleasure to work with. They kept us up to date with progress reports and photos and met all deadlines. We are so very happy with the way our home turned out and would highly recommend Michael Bird and Adirondack Design. We will be working with Michael in the Spring of 2014 on a boathouse.”

“Whereas many people wince at the thought of their experience designing and building a custom home, my experience with Trumbull Architects has been quite the opposite. Together we completed 3 projects over a 15-year period and it was a pleasure -as well as a lot of fun! These projects included the redesign/completion of a large home purchased halfway through construction (posing a unique set of problems), as well as the new construction of a small estate including a main house and numerous outbuildings (guest house, pool and pool house, garages). Debra and Jonathan have exceptional eyes for detail in context to the big picture; their designs are unique and span a wide breadth of genres. In addition, they work seamlessly with contractors through the completion of project. I would not consider using a different architectural firm to design my next home.”

“I live in Manhattan and have a country house in the Catskills upstate. The house is a contemporary design built in the mid 1970's. The "bones" were great but the aesthetic was completely wrong. We had Kimberly redesign the interior of the entire house - from moving electrical work, plumbing, windows and walls to choosing finishes and fixtures. She is amazing and I have referred her to many friends and clients. Next.... the apartment.”

“It is my second time around with Scot, this time for his advice on rebuilding a 522 sq. ft. deck/separate balcony with staircase and to lock in a reputable builder, in record time. What might sound like hyperbole referencing anyone else is exactly right for him. Scot's opinions are elegant, timeless, finely expressed and understated, proportional, interconnected and lightening-fast. In addition to his esthetic sense and professional skills, he is caring and unfailingly generous with his time and spirit.”

“Jessica was a key member of the design team and site management of the gut renovation of our apartment in the East Village. Besides her great aesthetic sense, design insight and creativity, which were invaluable, she has a comprehensive understanding of construction methods, which is an essential part of working with contractors, of making sure that the renderings become reality. She's a pleasure to work with--diplomatic, savvy, prompt for meetings, firm with contractors and subs when necessary, and has a knack for finding the best solutions for tricky problems. She's also deft with finding the most cost-effective approach to great design. I couldn't recommend her more highly.”

“Robert Marrapodi is a full service architect capable of working with any design style and with any budget. We asked him to develop a plan to open up our 1950s ranch and give us a nice modernist look with lots of light and bringing the outdoor beauty in. He worked with our budget to find the best products and finishes we could afford and gave us realistic options and solutions that were within our reach. He also made some great suggestions on the fly to deal with issues that came up during the construction. He worked really well with the contractor and was hands on enough to ensure the project stayed on track and within scope. He has a terrific aesthetic and a good feel for what the customer wants. We especially like that he did not push us to change style or direction and respected what we were trying to achieve. We really enjoyed working with him and recommend him very highly. “We had a great experience with MAAD to design an addition to our house. They met with us several times, presented several designs, and refined them on discussion with us. Very helpful in selecting materials, including some very innovative alternatives to traditional choices. They presented us with 3D renderings including data so we could visualize the design at different times of the day, which was important for this job. They produced detailed technical drawings that gave us the permits very quickly. They met all the timelines, and kept on budget. Overall, a really outstanding experience and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.”
