“Cabinet Refresh completed several jobs at our new home. First, they remodeled the kitchen and laundry area. This meant painting and refacing the existing cabinets; offering advice on paint colors, backsplash, and hardware choices; installing a new countertop and backsplash; painting a banquette; and installing new faucets and the existing dishwasher, water filtration unit, and garbage disposal. Second, they refinished the wood cabinets in two bathrooms, in both cases darkening the existing finish from a medium brown to more of an espresso that was more complementary to the existing tile in the bathrooms; third, they repainted the cabinet in our office bathroom, which were initially a room-shrinking black, to a light gray that made the room feel much more open; and fourth, they demoed our powder room. (We have yet to have them install new cabinets there, but we intend to use them for this job as well.) We worked primarily with Scott, secondarily with Nathan. Scott's strengths are that he has an excellent visual aesthetic; unlike most contractors we met with, he understands where and how to spend money for the most effect; and he offers hands-down the most competitive price for this type of work of the people we obtained quotes from in Los Angeles. (Other quote were not even close.) His crew was very professional and did very good work. There were hiccups here and there, but Scott and Nathan always handled any issues that arose in a professional manner and were committed to ensuring that we were satisfied with all work. We now have a very beautiful kitchen and several beautiful bathrooms. Houzz only lets up upload 4 photos, so we can't quite show how dramatic the transformation was, but suffice it to say that the different is astounding. We look forward to working with Scott and his team on our powder room.”

“Upon recommendation of my contractor, I used Marcelino's Cabinets to design and manufacture new kitchen and office cabinets in my small home remodel in 2011. They did a great job! In addition to all the regular kitchen remodel work, they talked me into doing a cabinet pullout for a hidden trash can, and "boxing in" the fridge. I'm so glad they did. Everything looks great. The quality is fantastic, they used good, solid wood (solid on the doors and thick furniture grade ply for the boxes - NO particle board). The finished paint is top notch. Also, I wanted an antiqued glaze on the doors (over the white) and they did it, by hand, creating multiple hand-made samples prior. Further, I had a curve/slope in the corner of one side of my ceiling, and they had flex molding made to match the curve over the custom-fitted cabinets. But the best thing was the customer service, and still is. This is a family operation, not a faceless corporation. They drove all the way to Woodland Hills from near Downtown, many times, just to meet with me and show me samples, talk about it, etc. They responded to every inquiry, and when small issues arose (they always do in every job), they handled them quickly and professionally. They continually asked me if I was happy with their work, and what could they do to make sure that I remain so. They finished the job on time and on budget. Just recently, I had them come out and touch up the cabinets/drawers/files a few years later (thanks to my small kids). They were great, and top notch. I'm extremely pleased with Marcelino, Daniel, and their crew. Well done!”
