The kitchen is the heart of a home, is where we get nourishment and congregate. So we decided to start with the kitchen, of course. Then we went back and forth with our options: A Brand new kitchen with new cabinets $$$$$, cabinet refacing $$$, or cabinet refinishing $$. Blessed that we had good cabinets in our new home and an existing good layout to the kitchen, we decided to go with the least expensive option. “We had Pawling Closets design and install cabinetry in a very large walk-in in our master br. They did a really nice job and we're very glad we had them do it. I considered the diy options, and I do most things myself so I am certainly capable. I did all the prep (remove old shelving, spackle, paint) on the closet before the install. But the quality is much better and custom fit is a lot nicer than what is available from the sellers of modular dyo stuff. We put the closet makeover in the category of a kitchen/bath improvement, as something that is going to matter in a resale. The design came out perfect, snug right to the window trim as planned, and the installers were very neat, not marking the newly painted walls. They run a good operation, and are not one of the contractors that you call and don't always hear from and can't depend on. Design was quick, and the delivery was a few weeks later once the materials came in. They promptly installed, checked up, and kept us well informed along the way. Five stars from us!!!”
