“I had a fairly involved job covering tile flooring, shower, and a backsplash. I had already purchased my materials from a big box store. Where my material was in order, it went great. It was all installed as envisioned. As for one area, the tile had color variation that was noticeable only after the grout was in and things began to dry out. One would think only two options existed; 1-Live with it or 2-Tear it all out. Not the case at all. Both Maria and Chris were onsite immediately and helped me salvage my project without starting from scratch. They provided suggestions/solutions and presented them with the caveat that my satisfaction was most important and they would do whatever it took to make me happy. Wow! I was able to breathe once again and now, I am able to enjoy the finished project. I'm sorry my oversight caused them and myself the additional headache, however, I know Freedom is there with me every step of the way.”

“Lodie and the staff at Roya Rugs in the Hickory Furniture Mart are nothing short of fantastic. We built a new house in Charlotte, transplanting back to NC from the DC area, and headed down to the Hickory Furniture Mart one weekend for some inspiration on furnishings. We got lost in the cavernous Mart and passed by Roya Rugs and decided to take a look since we had a lot of hardwoods to cover. Roya Rugs has a very large inventory, is well lit, very clean, and organized. Lodie met us at the door and showed us everything the store had to offer for all budgets. He explained to us the difference between hand-knotted and machine-made carpets, as well as the different types of rug materials (natural, blend, and synthetic) for high-traffic vs. low-traffic areas. We purchased two rugs from Roya, one for our master bedroom and one for our office. The bedroom rug is a hand-woven rug that is very soft under foot. The rug is absolutely gorgeous with a slight sheen on beige wool with blue and brown argyle diamonds. The office carpet is a power-loomed, synthetic rug that looks like a very expensive silk and wool rug, even though it isn’t. It really looks like a million bucks and is perfect for the office. With Lodie’s help, we were able to find the perfect rugs that fit the utility of the rooms and he gave us a very generous discount off each. In addition to the discount, Lodie gave us a 100% rubber rug pad for the large bedroom rug for free. Rubber pads are very expensive and are recommended for use on hardwoods as they will not disintegrate and "stick" to the poly like a synthetic pad. My spouse, who was going to be home while the rugs were going to be delivered, has back issues and the standard shipping was curbside. Lodie, recognizing that I would not be home to help bring the rugs inside, setup a free white glove delivery to our surprise. He called us after we left the store to let us know that he had setup the white glove delivery for us at no charge. We were speechless. Since delivery, I have spoken to Lodie about the care of our rugs and he has provided great advice and even remembered who we were! If you are looking for fantastic rugs at a great value, stop by Roya Rugs in the Hickory Furniture Mart and ask for Lodie. You will not be disappointed with his knowledge, service, follow-through, and follow-up months after the sale.
